Modify Your Diet

Nourish your body with whole foods and embrace this dietary change as a long-term lifestyle modification. Load up on veggies, fruits, hormone-free meat, wild-caught fish, legumes, and 100% whole grain. Add antioxidant-rich produce such as berries, folate-rich veggies such as spinach, unsaturated vegetable oils such as walnuts and avocado, and a half cup of beans to your daily diet. The real key is eating low carbs and ‘good’ carbs. Don’t overdo dairy but do opt for hormone-free whole milk as skim milk is associated with infertility. Replace your morning coffee or lunchtime soda with water and aim to drink ⅔ of your body weight in water a day. Foods to avoid include sweets, saturated fats, fried foods, and excessive alcohol and caffeine intake.
